Hello, I’m Tin. We started camping not by choice, but out of necessity. When my dad passed, I needed a place where my grief could be handled by a deeper silence.
I found that place in the outdoors.
With a few camping chairs, My Husband and I discovered that camping was profoundly therapeutic. As for me, it made me be entirely present. The noise inside my head was finally overpowered by the crackle of the campfire and the dark sky studded with stars, the cold wind, and many other things that being outdoors provides.
Truly, nature heals, and while grief itself should be felt and often not spoken about, the outdoors remind me that watching the sunrise, taking in fresh air, or enjoying a simple meal while camping can truly reset the mind.
The many benefits of nature and being outdoors are truly incredible, a love letter from God, indeed.
Camping is now our non-negotiable reset button. It’s where I also honor my Dad’s memory by building something simple and strong under the open sky. (Well, my Husband does all the pitching, don’t judge me. :D)
